About
Hey there! Thanks for stopping by:)
If we haven't had the pleasure, I'm Whitney Turner and I'm from the lovely plains of Salina, Kansas! I received my B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and minor in dance at Millikin University and have recently relocated to Chicago.
Usually, you can find me at sitting in an ECC, catching up on the latest reality TV show, birdwatching, at Music Trivia Mondays, reading, taking class, listening to new artists, hanging with friends, or FaceTiming my dog.
If you are looking for a fierce, high-belting powerhouse, stylized pop/rock vocalist, humorous quirky side character, homegrown country ingenue, or energetic dancer in your chorus line, you've come to the right place!
I'm excited for the next stage of my life and I invite you to join me on this journey!

What am I up to?
Living in Chicago!
This summer, I'll be heading back to The Little Theatre on the Square to play Olive Ostrovsky in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Brenda/Ensemble in Hairspray, and a part of Too Darn Hot: Broadways Sizzling Showstoppers!

Choreography
Welcome to my choreo page! I am a trained dancer of 18+ years (and counting!) who has had the privilege to teach students of all ages at local studios in Salina, KS and Decatur, IL, as well as choreograph for my peers during my time at Millikin. I have experience teaching a wide range of ages and skill sets, from 3 year-olds to college grads. I have taught classes focusing on ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pre-pointe/pointe, pom/drill team, and modern/lyrical. I have choreographed for dance teams, studios, private lessons/solos, ensembles, weddings, theatre prescreens, and for myself! I also love being a visiting masterclass instructor for local studios!
My senior year of college, I applied and was chosen as the Senior Choreographer for Solstice: A Concert of Dance in the Fall of 2023, which I created the piece "Choices" (see below). It was an honor to work along side faculty as we held auditions for our select ensemble, in which my dancers were chosen from.
I would love to work with you and your dancers, whether as a guest choreographer or a studio staff member! Please download my resume for more information!
