About
Hey there! Thanks for stopping by:)
My name is Whitney Turner and I'm from the heart of the Great Plains-- Salina, Kansas! I received my B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and minor in dance at Millikin University this past May. I recently spent my whole Summer at The Little Theatre on the Square in Sullivan, IL performing in 7 shows from May-August, and then concluding the year with their Christmas show this past December. Now that I'm back home, I am preparing to move to Chicago as we speak!
When not performing, you can find me catching up on the latest reality TV show, birdwatching, taking long walks in the park, reading, listening to Benson Boone on my record player, hanging with friends, or FaceTiming my dog.
If you are looking for a fierce, high-belting powerhouse, stylized pop/rock vocalist, humorous quirky side character, homegrown country ingenue, or energetic dancer in your chorus line, you've come to the right place!
I'm excited for the next stage of my life, and hope you become a part of this journey with me!

What am I up to?
Living in Chicago!
This summer, I'll be heading back to The Little Theatre on the Square to play Olive Ostrovsky in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Brenda/Ensemble in Hairspray, U/S for Elsa in Sound of Music, and the TYA Elephant and Piggie

Choreography
Welcome to my choreo page! I am a trained dancer of 18+ years (and counting!) who has had the privilege to teach students of all ages at local studios in Salina, KS and Decatur, IL, as well as choreograph for my peers during my time at Millikin. I have experience teaching a wide range of ages and skill sets, from 3 year-olds to college grads. I have taught classes focusing on ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pre-pointe/pointe, pom/drill team, and modern/lyrical. I have choreographed for dance teams, studios, private lessons/solos, ensembles, weddings, theatre prescreens, and for myself! I also love being a visiting masterclass instructor for local studios!
My senior year of college, I applied and was chosen as the Senior Choreographer for Solstice: A Concert of Dance in the Fall of 2023, which I created the piece "Choices" (see below). It was an honor to work along side faculty as we held auditions for our select ensemble, in which my dancers were chosen from.
I would love to work with you and your dancers, whether as a guest choreographer or a studio staff member! Please download my resume for more information!
